Caring for people is tough on your body. I had been working for the NHS for five years as an Audiologist. The role was very physical due to the heavy soundproof doors, carrying equipment to nursing home and schools and this constant bending, twisting and lifting led to constant severe back and leg pain. The pain stopped me in my tracks and I was unable to kayak, ride my motorbike and it was really hard to enjoy my work because I was always in pain.

I tried many treatments, both privately and NHs but nothing worked. My Chiropractor was the first person to explain to me what was happening to my body and give me hope. I understood how my lifestyle had impacted on my back and how I could not only get out of pain but improve my wellbeing.

This led me down the path of chiropractic! Because chiropractic made me feel so well I wanted to be able to help others in the same way and studied chiropractic in Bournemouth. After I qualified I moved north to Ashton under Lyne to work in a chiropractic clinic which I loved. However, the good weather in Bournemouth, the beaches and the new forest were something I missed, and I now work at both the Bournemouth and Fordingbridge clinics getting the best of both worlds.

Outside of treating patients I enjoy spending time with my two young boys laughing and exploring the outdoors together.
